Telu

The sacred number of Telu (three) resembles the asymetrical allignment of three  essential components in life; The Spirit/Soul (Alam Roh),The Earth (Duniawi), The  Hereafter(Akherat).  

Technique & Craft; naturally dyed in Indigofera Tinctoria, native dye plant in Java,  each cotton thread is handwoven on a traditional ATBM floor loom by the artist  himself. Thread counts 3,000 threads /per meter, the cloth is mordanted and blessed  with sea water from the West Coast of Java.  

Angka keramat Telu (tiga) menyerupai keselarasan asimetris dari tiga komponen penting dalam kehidupan; Ruh/Jiwa (Alam Roh),Bumi (Duniawi), Akhirat (Akherat). 

Teknik & Kerajinan; dicelup secara alami di Indigofera Tinctoria, tanaman pewarna asli di Jawa, setiap benang kapas ditenun dengan tangan di atas alat tenun lantai ATBM  tradisional oleh senimannya sendiri. Benang berjumlah 3.000 benang/per meter, kain ini dilumuri dan diberkahi dengan air laut dari Pantai Barat Jawa.
